This recent series of “show and tell” is stunning. My eyes and heart are feasting on the visual delights. Your silent messenger pieces provoke my thoughts and I imagined seeing them all on display outdoors in an arena under the Supermoon. Writing on Stone IV has my heart in a whorl.
rouchswalwe, thanks, I’m so pleased, and I love your idea of these under the Supermoon. Did you see it? We didn’t see it at moonrise because of cloud but later when it cleared – lovely though I think the August moon is usually lovelier, imho. Cute, your heart in a whorl, like that one in IV.
These truly are amazing images. Are you sure you’re not descended from an ancient people?

Interesting idea of rouchswalwe’s: and a fine, pumpkinish harvest moon would work well! Like the way the first figure seems to evade (that is, not so literal and tidy as to become corny) and yet complete or suggest a heart of fissures, sun, and shadow.
Marly, yes, the heart – you say it beautifully too, thanks. I am now recalling the experience of standing in hot sun looking at these amazing rocks and the petroglyphs, and remembering my own heart was bursting with joy and excitement. Hope that’s not too corny!
