Winter Story 2013
Our lovely granddaughters Lael and Niamh have a wonderful Christmas tradition of composing, with the help of their mom and daddy, an animated Winter Story to share with family and friends. And once again, I’m proud to share it here. This year’s is called Twelve Days. Turn on the sound and if you wish, you can view it screen size by clicking on the icon on the lower right of the bar. You can also see their winter animations from the last few years on their site. Enjoy!

That was a very sweet interpretation of the old song. I especially loved the illustrations.
It really is delightful, isn’t it? My favourite are the five quail.
Totally brilliant! I love the touches of humour too. This should be published to replace the original.
I hope this comment gets through to you.
Olga, I’m glad you agree! Artists do love to do variations of old favourites, eh.
Sorry if you have had commenting issues.
Supra-adorable! I really liked the bobbing, hurrying quail and the talkative fish that rights himself, but the whole thing is good… Clever girls and dad!
Marly, yes! Today I got more information about the process from my daughter, their mom. The girls put in much hard work as they chose the creatures that lived around them, and learned how to draw them with encouragement from mom, who then digitaized them for daddy to animate. A family project it was!
They get better and better every year! I too specially liked the quail.
Happy New Year to all the family.
Lucy, thank you, I think so too! And Happy New Year to you and yours!
Oh how superbly unique! I must admit that I much love this group of animals! The Bass were fantastic, “oh, that’s better!” and I’m still trying to figure out the surprise green mystery …. Wonderful!!
Rouchswalwe, I’m so glad you enjoyed this! That green thing is the crocodile from the original (first) Winter Story! I had forgotten that until now!
Delightful! I especially like the running quails and the upside-down fish. Such budding talent! Happy New Year to you and yours!
Thank you, Leslee! Happy New Year to you too!
