Gosh! I found this a dramatic appearance when I clicked onto your blog. I love it. I find it encapsulates exactly what I think of crowds: menacing, dangerous, unpredictable. Wondrous stuff.
I wrote to you once before to thank you for inspiring me to continue working. I finally have a web site where I have posted my efforts that have accumulated over my many years.
Thanks again for your site…I read it daily

Omega, Thanks! You know, I almost did not post this one, but recently when I looked at it again with eyes saddened by the Middle East situations, I felt this piece had some of that feeling.
Hi John, thank you for your kind words! Congratulations on your very attractive website. I’ll be back to look at your work in more detail after our visitors are gone. What kind of work are you doing these days?
I just had to drop by for a break from my cave-work doing a bio with a deadline and my sunglasses on because of eye strain from looking at the computer screen while transcribing off of a voice recording. This reminds me of a group of tourists watching a devil may care guy going over Niagara Falls in a wooden barrel. By the frowns I see on the faces, I don’t think he made it in one piece. I’m turning into a nut case ML! How’s the knee?
Hi Roger, Sounds to me like you are over-working yourself and giving yourself some unusual visions of Niagara :-). Hey, take care!
My knee? It’s better, thanks, but I have another treatment tomorrow that I’m not looking forward to, if it’s as painful as the last one.
Just found your website – wonderful!!!….We haven’t talked in so long. Hope you are well and your family is also. What happened to your knee? I think the last time we spoke was when Gudrun was in town a couple of years or more ago.
Hannele
Hi Hannele! What a nice surprise to hear from you here!! Yes, we are all fine, and so is my knee after yesterday’s treatment. And how are you and your family? Let’s catch up via email or phone, okay?
Great monotype, Marja-Leena. I love the vigor and movement and the colour combinations. Did you use a press to print it? I’m very fond of monotype techniques, something about the printed image gives it a life that much ‘straight’ painting doesn’t have.
Thanks, Natalie! Yes, I used a press. I love monotypes because they are so quick and gestural to work with, like painting. I would do a whole series in a short time, compared to the laborious techniques of etching etc. Each has it own beauty and character of course.
