spring!
Some spring flowers from my garden to you, dear readers, on this first day of spring!
Well, this year the vernal equinox was gorgeous in Vancouver! Three days of glorious sunshine after a long cold and wet spell, quite the opposite of last year. We’ve been outdoors every day, walking and taking photos with our new camera. Yesterday and today we’ve also been doing garden cleanup. Ooh, our backs are sore but we feel great from all the fresh air and physical work. We made the most of the first days of spring for tomorrow the rains return. Happy Equinox!

How lovely to see your sunshine. It is dull and rather cold over here, but we too have our tiny daffodils and crocuses out. They are so cheering.
It was wonderful while it lasted and amazing how much energy we had! Back to cool and cloudy at the moment with showers in the forecast. Happy spring, Omega!
OH, I want it to be spring for real! Here in Juneau we had several feet of snow last weekend, and before that below zero temps.
Thanks for posting a ray of sunlight! I have the same exact bulbs in my front yard, I hope they have survived this winter.
Elise, spring only lasted three days! Today it’s pouring rain! I know, I shouln’t complain when so much of the country is still in winter. We’re soft here in Vanocuver! It’s amazing the energy one gets on a sunny day this time of year, isn’t it – such as the day you chased the gorgeous mountain sunsets!?
How could it be! We’re a lot south of you and we don’t have a THING. Do you thank God or the Ocean? I thank you! Such hope!
Sikuri, it’s the coastal rainforest climate, and a bit of God too in that we ended up living here. But I remember the centre of this North American continent’s winters (Winnipeg, aka Windypeg or Winterpeg!)
