Would you believe these are inspiring me? I am making some very odd looking ceramics with lumps, bumps and abrasions. The work from my last firing was mostly very bad, but I am still trying to get something. Don’t know what it is, if you know what I mean.
Marianna, how wonderful, I’m so pleased. I hope your efforts will be fruitful and exciting. Do show us what you come up with. It has been decades since i did anything with clay and you are making my fingers itch. Hmm, I wonder if fragments of rusty metal could be attached to the clay and fired, and if it worked, what would it look like?
These are all very beautiful images. I can’t help but think it would be nice if everything we’ve tossed back into the environment would decompose with such style.
Susan, thanks, and yes to that thought! I wonder how many would agree with us. Most would just chuck it in the garbage (as I will when I’ve taken enough photos.)
