Nice capture. It reminds me somehow of an old window box with a pinned moth. I guess it is, almost.
Leslee – you’re right, it does look like a pinned moth in a box!
What a beauty!
It is a shame this moth is dead.
Olivia, it’s so tiny, that I almost missed seeing it. The camera lens has really picked up a great deal of detail, hasn’t it?!

I loved that description. So poetic and brimming with philosophical musings on life, on death. (I feel sorry for the moth.)
The photo is one-of-a-kind. Thank you.
you can almost seen the ghost of fluttering in its wings
Lovely. This really conveys the papery, fragile texture.
Soulless, welcome and pleased to meet you! Thanks for the kind words, I’m glad you picked up on my subtle musings.
TG, yes, I think because the photo is a bit blurry…
Jean, thank you, I’m glad that came through.
I love the grainyness of the whole image, and the feeling that it is slowly fading into one. It is beautiful, sad, and awesome altogether. Thank you.
Thank you, Olga!
I have a very odd feeling about this post now. I just learned that my favourite uncle passed away Sunday evening a couple of hours after posting this. He’d had his 84th birthday a week earlier.
