hand with Easter eggs
Hauskaa Pääsiäistä, Joyeuses Pâques, Frohes Ostern, Happy Easter and Happy Spring!
This year I’ve decided to repost one of my favourite images of hand coloured eggs as held in my hand, from my series of scans of hands with objects. Should you be interested, you may view other Easter posts via this search.
We will be having a quiet weekend with our youngest daughter. We are looking forward to a FaceTime visit with the other daughters and our granddaughters on Sunday! How about you?

Us? We will be spending our fourth day with newly-acquired member of our family. Yes, we have taken on a delightful rescue dog; a Brittany Spaniel.
A new family member? How exciting – I look forward to photos and posts. Have fun!
The hand with eggs is lovely. We are having a quiet weekend with some gentle gardening if the weather permits.
Thank you, Olga. We have been having very heavy rains this past week. Hoping for some dry days to do some gardening as well.
Happy Easter, Marja-Leena! I loved this series and am glad to see this beautiful image.
Beth, I’m so glad you like this image and series. Hope Easter is heartwarming with all your singing with your church choir.
I love that photo, the eggs and the hand have such a perfect and warm relationship – made for each other. happy Easter to you and yours, Marja-Leena.
Natalie, thanks for the kind words. Hope you are having a good Easter with your family too.
Nice! I’m working on an Easter posting right now, probably something with Easter eggs and bunnies. Have a wonderful Easter!
Thanks, same to you! Will pop over for a visit.
Lovely image. So nice to know you will have family around. We are spending the four days with our two children who have come from different corners of Germany to be with us. Spring has not yet arrived, but we are hoping it will come soon!
It sounds like a lovely family weekend for you – enjoy! Hope spring is on its way too!
That’s such a beautiful image, Marja-Leena. I hope the Easter Holiday brings you many blessings.
I am pleased you like it. Blessings to you and yours too, Susan.
Ein frohes Osterfest wünsche ich Euch! I did have a boiled egg for breakfast on the day, but did not colour any eggs. So I appreciate your wonderful photo, dear Marja-Leena. The weather here was quite warm, so I visited the local Biergarten. Prost!
Glad you had a good day, dear Rouchswalwe. I haven’t coloured any eggs in quite some time since we have such a collection from past years, mostly done by our daughters. Easter egg hunts used to be the thing when they were little, even the granddaughters are past that.
Those are such pretty eggs!
Late to this, I’m afraid, but I hope you had a lovely time with your family.
Thanks, Lucy, not to worry, I see you have been busy with a charming ‘family addition’!
Hope you have a wonderful Easter season, Marja-Leena… I remembered those eggs.
Marly, the weather is just glorious now, sunny and warm, perfect for gardening…. the best Easter gift after a lot of rain previously. So much is in bloom – magnolias, camellia, some rhododendrons, and of course the spring bulbs…. even the first dandelions.
Think I need to move your way, after our latest snow on the flowers. Well, today it is snow on slow–the poor flowers are out of sight.
Oh dear, sorry to hear that! The magnolia flowers are now falling, leaving a blanket of white on the ground beneath. Had a bit of rain for a couple of days and it will be back to very warm, with 24C (75F) forecast for Thursday – most unusual! Sending warm sunny days your way!
Thank you! Hope all is well with you–thinking of you and hoping you are among flowers…
Marly, thanks, I am fine, enjoying the best spring garden ever but otherwise very lazy about blogging, sorry! Doing a lot of reading these days. Needing an inspirational kick to get me back to writing and image-making….
Not only did we have snow several times in the last week of April but more fell in early May as well. It’s been cold..and rainy. Would that we could direct some of it west. sigh. The good news is the spring flowers appear to be lasting longer than in other springtimes.
Happy days, Marja-Leena.
Thanks, Susan, for still dropping by though I’ve not done a new post!
Odd how the east has had such a cold spring but the west and the northwest is so very warm. BC had the warmest April ever… which as you know has been one reason for the terrible forest fires in northeast BC and especially the Fort McMurray area of Alberta. Here at home I’m finding it often much too warm to garden. Climate change? I think so. I dread another hot and dry summer with water shortages.
