Fragments in qarrtsiluni
detail of Fragments VI
I’m delighted that two of my Fragments prints are up in the fabulous online literary and art journal Qarrtsiluni. My thanks to guest editors Olivia Dresher and Catherine Ednie for including my work in this issue, called Fragments (!). Also congratulations to Dave Bonta, one of the founding editors, for the success of Q. as it is about to have its 7th anniversary. He tells me this is my 17th appearance in qarrtsiluni.

Oh, you are the perfect person for that issue! Of course you are… You must be one of the more published people there.
I haven’t sent them anything in a while, and I don’t think the city animal issue is for me. Some day.
Congratulations, Marja-Leena, on this piece and the other sixteen!
This is a lovely composition. It makes me think of ancient stone works and rock art. The rope made me think of those bodies discovered in peat bogs, tied with primitive grass ropes.
I think this is beautiful.
Marly, thank you! I’ve enjoyed taking part in many of the issues when the subject interests me. With an issue named Fragments, how could I resist? I too think the upcoming animal issue is not for me either, though I do have a few cute photos of raccoons…
Martha, thanks so much. I’m glad my work made you think of all those things, which are such a part of my work.
Oh, these are gorgeous! And so perfect for the Fragments theme at qarrtsiluni. I love the spiral of shell and rock fragments with the ropes.
Leslee, thank you, I’m so pleased you like these.
