at the desk
a test photo taken with my hand-me-down iPod, of the view to the right of my computer…
I know, it is not of great quality…just practising
slow starts with Christmas preparations
first wearing of winter coats and mitts
outdoor lights onto shrubs and trees
a wreath at front door and in solarium
bought a tree to bring in later
and some paperwhites to pot up
spoke to family in Victoria
on the other side of Salish Sea
all excited by some snow
hope daddy gets home safe from London
before any snowstorms

It may not be the best photograph you’ve ever taken but the serene elegance of your surroundings show true.
I hope all continues well with your Christmas preparations and that daddy will arrive home safely.
Thanks, Susan, you are always so kind! Hope your preparations are also going well.
I love the photo and thinking about Christmas in a cold climate. Some people make very good photos with i-pods, taking advantage of limitations to make artistic and mysterious pix.
Hattie, I’m pleased that you like this modest photo, really a little peek into my every day. And yes, many take great photos. The newer models are also much improved, especially the latest i-Phone. I’ve not really into using these but with the musical chairs of new ones replacing older in our family, I inherit the latter. Husband is really into the technology and drags me into it somewhat reluctantly as I love my desktop most.
