Makes me think of the Biblical “To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth.”
Marly, thanks so much for the wonderful quote. I don’t remember that one but it really resonates with these images, giving them that extra “seeming-meaning”.
