revisiting rocks
While browsing through my digital photo albums looking for something else, I came across the Hornby Island 2009 folder with hundreds of images of fascinating rocks. Distracted and dreaming, I have been. Over the years a number of photos from that favourite island have been posted here from many visits, though not many from 2009. Here are a couple of images that appealed to me with their subtle details.
Oh, and if you are new and curious, or would like to revisit some of those past posts and photos about Hornby Island, try this search.

It is lovely to rediscover images like this from one’s own forgotten archive.
Olga, yes indeed and especially of a favourite subject and place. It is getting a bit crazy with how many photos I have taken since the advent of digital cameras. I like putting some of them on the blog for quick revisits.
These are small worlds. Lovely.
Hattie, small worlds, close looks, little details… I do love doing that. Thanks!
If not for the little reflected plant in the first one, I could think it a strange, gigantic landscape of stone with a tarn-like lake and the seams of rivers. I like that one…
Marly, I too find the scale interesting – could be tiny, could be huge.
Let’s go tiny and take a walk together around the lake!
Like two Alices we go!
That top photo appeals to me so much.
Hattie, I’m glad for it is an appealing image.
