little ballerinas
I had some fun with action photography.
I love the results because these look like paintings with cool ghostly effects.

Those are very fun shots! Great triptych.
Viehättävää, juuri näin pieniä balleriinoja pitääkin kuvata!
Marja-Leena, loittorengas on englanniksi “extension tube”. Kysyit sitä blogissani.
How lovely. Just beautiful. In the first one they’re flying.
Dave, Jean, thanks! Glad you like.
Iines, kiitos käynnistä ja vastauksesta!
I’m always worried when I take action photographs that blur, but these show just how effective blurring can be espcially when it is intended.
Lovely, the way the photos capture not just movement, but also the lightness of the aspiring big dreams of little ballerinas!
Joe, the blurring wasn’t entirely intentional, especially in the background of the first photo. I have a lot to learn about action photography, but I liked these ones anyway!
Maria, thanks for that!
Fun!
I was going to say ‘fun’ too, the others beat me to it!
Leslee and Lucy, glad you enjoyed these!
these photos are beautiful. they bring a tear to the eye. the innocence. the gaiety. the frolicking. the sheer pleasure of being a girl with dreams big enough to lift her off her tiny feet, spinning.
May these beautiful children be blessed with their dreams.
Taina, thanks so much for your lovely words. At a time like this, our children, and grandchildren in this case, are so precious and we can be grateful that they are safe and happy in this part of the world.
Oh, to be a little ballerina . . . and have much joy in one’s own tulle skirt and frisky feet!
Bee, oh to be little again! Yes, it’s a precious time that goes too fast.
