I really like the first one where the creature remains encased in polished limestone. The form is very elegant.
My husband once wrote a story for our son about how the turtle got its shell. This one may be the original main character.
Susan, doesn’t that one look like a fine sculpture? I’m sure your son loved that story. Is your husband a writer, perchance?
And there I thought the last one was a bat-winged cat, sideways.

It even has two little feet hanging down, though I think that part must be bird. Bird-bat-cat. Probably insane. (Of course, many cats are.)
Marly, after you mentioned seeing a bat-cat I flipped the image to vertical. Yes, I saw claws too – I love the mix. Makes me think of my owl-woman. This may go places….
