first week of April
a week of hail, snow, night frost, warmth, sunshine, cloud, light rain…
last Sunday afternoon’s hail
darling buds of magnolia

And a very Happy Easter to you & your family too!
Roger – thanks! I hope you and yours are having a good one.
Happy Easter! I’m off to sniff Mrs Next-Door’s blackcurrant leaves.
Lovely photographs. Enjoy.
Mr. Zip – don’t get too drunk on that scent, mmm…
Tall Girl – thanks!
We enjoyed our family Easter yesterday, with sister-in-law here for a short visit, and some of our own family here including the granddaughters. The easter egg hunt was fun! Today, we’ve been outside cutting the grass the first time and pulling out invasive ivy.
Glad you like the smell of blackcurrant leaves – some people find them catty, but I’m with you.
Anna, yes. The scent of blackcurrant leaves is to me like the scent of the berries, which I adore. Maybe it’s some memory from childhood – most gardens in Finland had black and red currants, gooseberries, raspberries, strawberries, and of course they picked many wild ones – and I love them all.
