Tuesday’s garden therapy didn’t succeed in averting incipient signs of illness, a cold/flu that’s been going around in our family. I’m frustrated with the delay in completing my project. Now for more hot tea then back to bed. Wish me a VERY speedy recovery!

*fluey – Is that a word? Occasionally used here verbally, but not a recognized word even in the Dictionary of Slang
**phooey – expression of contempt, 1929, from Yiddish, from Ger. pfui (attested in Eng. from 1866); popularized by Walter Winchell. Phoo “vocalic gesture expressing contemptuous rejection” is recorded from 1642. – Dictionary.com

It has been snowing here FOREVER! I think we’ve had double the snow this winter than normal; “garden therapy” seems a long long way off…
But thanks for the gorgeous photos, and I do wish you a very very very speedy recovery!
Oh my Marja-Leena, I’m so sorry my dear friend that you’re ‘under the weather.’ It’s ‘flabber-gasting’ to just feel like crawling under the blankets until the flu-bug takes flight. I wish you a VERY speedy recovery so we can enjoy your postings which are so meaningful. I will chant to the Guardian Spirits who nurtured me back to health, and ask them to be benevolent to you! Osonondaga!
Elise, I’ve missed you! Thanks for the needed wishes!
Roger, I need the magic of those Spirits, thanks! Husband came home sick, too! And now we’re wondering if we’re going to be able to go to the opera Sat. night! What to do with the $$$ tickets!!
Absolutely, Marja-Leena, my very best wishes for speedy healing to both you and your sweetie! I hope this is short-lived.
MB – thanks for the wishes. We’ve both got a nasty flu that is now turning into a cold. Being both sick at the same time, we can’t look after the other. Ah well, it’s not as bad as the year all the kids were sick, we were sick, and the hot water tank burst!
Getwellverysoon. I’m sneezing and blowing again too. What’s with all the viruses this year – half the population is germed up and sickly here?
Anna, sorry to hear you are sick too! I was going to blame our awful weather for it, but hasn’t it been good in the UK? Do get better quick!
Get well very soon, dear Marja-Leena! It’s so difficult when both are sick – not only less help, but less sympathy! Hot tea with lemon, rest, think of spring!
So sorry to hear you’re feeling puny — hope by the time you read this it’s all much better for you.
Sending thoughts of chicken soup and Earl Grey tea…
Oh dear, hope you’re feeling better now!
Beth, Lori, Leslee – thanks so much for the good wishes! We’re still working on getting better…
