Very primal and intense. Reminds me of the fine poem Dave wrote in your honor.
Patry, thanks! Yes, that poem by Dave is fabulous, and I’m quite touched!
This is a magnificent image, M-L, wonderfully tactile, serious, solid, permanent but also playful and fleeting. Sounds like I’m describing a personality! Maybe I am.
Natalie, what wonderful things you say, thank you!! I know my work appears very serious, but this particular group is the result of some playtime, as you know. I need to play more, I think.
Marja-leena:
I love your new Assemblages. I was going to suggest ‘experiment’ as a tongue-in-cheek descriptor. But I think ‘assemblage’ is better for art! I look forward to seeing more of your work!
Jackie – thanks! You know, after deciding on ‘Assemblage’ I’ve had second thoughts, but now I’m committed. Glad you like it though, so I feel better.
